Metropolitan Archdiocese of Mercedes-Lujan in Buenos Aires Province, erected as the Diocese of Mercedes in 1934 and elevated to a metropolitan archdiocese in 1997, with suffragan sees of Merlo-Moreno, Nueve de Julio, and Zarate-Campana. Archbishop Jorge Eduardo Scheinig was appointed in 2019. Note: this see is an archdiocese, not a diocese.
