Latin rite metropolitan archdiocese centered on Bolivia's seat of government, erected as a diocese on 4 July 1605 from the Diocese of La Plata and elevated to a metropolitan archdiocese on 18 June 1943. Its seat is the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace. Archbishop Percy Lorenzo Galvan Flores has led the archdiocese since 23 May 2020.
