History
In central Brazil, the Diocese of Cristalândia (Latin: Dioecesis Cristalandiensis) belongs to the ecclesiastical province of Palmas. Its territory takes in municipalities of southwest Tocantins along with five in northwest Goiás state. The episcopal cathedral, the Marian Catedral Prelatícia Nossa Senhora do Perpétuo Socorro, dedicated to Our Lady of Perpetual Support, stands in the city of Cristalândia in the Amazonian state of Tocantins.
