History

In Ceará state, in northeast Brazil, the Diocese of Limoeiro do Norte (Latin: Dioecesis Limoëirensis) serves as a Latin Rite suffragan of the ecclesiastical province of Fortaleza, likewise in Ceará. Its episcopal seat is the Catedral Nossa Senhora da Conceiçao in the city of Limoeiro do Norte, dedicated to the Immaculate Conception.
