Latin-rite diocese in the Bas-Uele region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Its origins go back to the Apostolic Prefecture of Uele erected 12 May 1898; after several reorganizations it was promoted to a diocese 10 November 1959 and is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Kisangani.
