Western North Carolina is served by the Diocese of Charlotte (Latin: Dioecesis Carolinana), a Catholic diocese in the United States. Its mother church is the Cathedral of Saint Patrick in Charlotte, and it belongs as a suffragan to the metropolitan Archdiocese of Atlanta.
