The Diocese of Citta di Castello is a Latin Church diocese in the Umbria region of Italy, a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Perugia-Citta della Pieve, with origins dating to about the 5th century. It has been led by Bishop Luciano Paolucci Bedini since 2022, who concurrently serves as bishop of Gubbio.

History
In the central Italian region of Umbria, within the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Perugia-Città della Pieve, lies the Latin Diocese of Città di Castello (Latin: Dioecesis Civitatis Castelli o Tifernatensis). Its cathedral episcopal see holds the rank of Minor basilica: the Basilica Cattedrale di Ss. Florido e Amanzio Basilica in Città di Castello, dedicated to Saints Floridus (patron of the diocese) and Amantius. A second Minor Basilica, Marian in character, also serves the province and diocese: the Santuario-Basilica della Madonna del Transito Santuario in Canoscio.
