Latin Church diocese seated at Buenaventura in the Valle del Cauca Department on Colombia's Pacific coast, suffragan of the Archdiocese of Cali. Established on November 14, 1952 as the Apostolic Vicariate of Buenaventura from the Diocese of Cali and the Apostolic Prefecture of Tumaco, and promoted to diocese on November 30, 1996. Its cathedral is the Catedral de San Buenaventura; Bishop Ruben Dario Jaramillo Montoya has served since June 30, 2017.
