History
A missionary pre-diocesan circumscription of the Roman Catholic Church, the Apostolic Vicariate of Esmeraldas (Latin: Apostolicus Vicariatus Esmeraldensis) has its cathedral see, the Catedral Cristo Rey, in the town of Esmeraldas, in Ecuador's Pacific coastal province of the same name. It is exempt, meaning it answers directly to the Holy See and belongs to no ecclesiastical province.

This see keeps no website of its own, so the address of its diocesan offices is published here: withholding it would protect nothing and leave a reader with nowhere to go. Where a see publishes its own site, the register sends you there instead.
