Latin-rite apostolic vicariate in Ecuador's northern Amazon, established as a prefecture apostolic on 16 April 1924 from the Apostolic Vicariate of Napo and elevated to apostolic vicariate on 2 July 1984. Its cathedral is the Catedral Nuestra Senora del Cisne in Nueva Loja, Sucumbios Province. Bishop Celmo Lazzari has been vicar apostolic since November 2013.
