Its seat is the Cathedral of El Salvador y Santa Maria in Orihuela, with the Co-Cathedral of San Nicolas in Alicante.

History
Established in 1564 as the Diocese of Orihuela, taken from the Diocese of Cartagena, this see received its present name in 1959. The Diocese of Orihuela-Alicante (Latin: Dioecesis Oriolensis-Lucentinus) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church seated in the cities of Orihuela and Alicante, within the ecclesiastical province of Valencia in Spain.
