The Diocese of Perpignan-Elne is a Latin rite diocese covering the Pyrenees-Orientales department; the ancient see of Elne (6th century) was transferred to Perpignan and re-erected on 6 October 1822, and is today a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Montpellier. Its cathedral is the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist in Perpignan, with the Co-Cathedral of St. Eulalia and St. Julia in Elne.

History
The Department of Pyrénées-Orientales forms the territory of the Diocese of Perpignan-Elne (Latin: Dioecesis Elnensis; French: Diocèse de Perpignan-Elne; Catalan: Bisbat de Perpinyà-Elna), a Latin diocese of the Catholic Church in France. Its predecessor, the Diocese of Elne, remained a suffragan of the Diocese of Narbonne until 1511.
