History
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Garissa in Kenya has been led since February 2022 by George Muthaka O.F.M. Cap., born on 28 December 1974. Pope Francis appointed him bishop on 17 February 2022. Before receiving the see, Monsignor Muthaka had served as vicar-general of the same diocese. His consecration and installation took place at Garissa on 7 May 2022.
