The Diocese of Basse-Terre (et Pointe-a-Pitre) is a Latin rite see erected in 1951 covering Guadeloupe in the French Antilles. Its seat is the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Guadeloupe in Basse-Terre. Bishop Philippe Guiougou, a Guadeloupe native, was appointed by Pope Francis on 3 April 2023 and ordained bishop on 9 July 2023, ending a two-year vacancy.
