The Ordinariate for Catholics of Armenian Rite in Greece was established on 21 December 1925 by Pope Pius XI to serve Armenian Catholics who arrived in Greece during the First World War. It is exempt, depending directly on the Holy See through the Dicastery for the Eastern Churches. After a decade under apostolic administration, Mikael Bassale, I.C.P.B., was appointed Ordinary on 25 January 2025.

History
For its faithful in Greece, the Armenian Catholic Church maintains the Ordinariate for Catholics of Armenian Rite in Greece, also called the Armenian Catholic Ordinariate of Greece (informally, Greece of the Armenians), an ecclesiastical territory for faithful of the eastern rite of the Catholic Church. It belongs to no ecclesiastical province, being exempt to the Holy See and specifically to the Congregation for the Oriental Churches.
