Diocese of Elphin

Elphinen(sis)

The Diocese of Elphin is a Latin Rite diocese in the west of Ireland covering parts of Counties Roscommon, Sligo and Galway, a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Tuam. Its cathedral is the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Sligo, and it is led by Bishop Kevin Doran, who since 2024 also leads the Diocese of Achonry in persona episcopi.
