Eparchy of Palai

Palaien(sis)

Syro-Malabar Catholic eparchy in central Kerala, India, erected 25 July 1950 from the territory of Changanacherry and a suffragan of the Archeparchy of Changanassery. Its seat is the Cathedral of St. Thomas in Palai, and it serves about 326,700 East Syriac-rite Catholics (2009), nearly half the local population.
