Raigarhen(sis)

Latin-rite diocese in Chhattisgarh, India, erected 13 December 1951 as the Diocese of Raigarh-Ambikapur from the Dioceses of Nagpur and Ranchi, and renamed Raigarh on 10 November 1977 when Ambikapur was split off. A suffragan of the Archdiocese of Raipur with its bishop's house at Kunkuri, its seat is the Cathedral of St. Michael in Raigarh, serving about 61,800 Catholics (2010).
