History
Latin Catholics in Iraq are gathered under the Archdiocese of Baghdad (Latin: Bagdathen(sis) Latinorum), a diocese of the Catholic Church seated in Baghdad. Its care extends to three parishes serving 2,500 Latin Catholics spread throughout the country, and it is immediately subject to the Holy See. The archdiocese works alongside seven Chaldean dioceses, three Syrian Catholic jurisdictions, one Greek-Melkite jurisdiction, and one Armenian Catholic diocese, all in communion with the Holy See.
