History
In Tanzania's ecclesiastical province of Tabora lies the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kigoma (Latin: Dioecesis Kigomaënsis), seated in Kigoma. The see fell vacant (sede vacante) when Pope Benedict XVI, on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, named Bishop Protase Rugambwa an Archbishop ad personam, granting him the personal title of archbishop along with the offices of Deputy Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples and President of the Pontifical Mission Societies.

This see keeps no website of its own, so the address of its diocesan offices is published here: withholding it would protect nothing and leave a reader with nowhere to go. Where a see publishes its own site, the register sends you there instead.
