Latin-rite apostolic vicariate in southern Laos with its see at Pakse, erected in 1967. Bishop Andrew Souksavath Nouane Asa, appointed by Pope Francis on May 31, 2022, is the second indigenous vicar apostolic of Pakse, after Cardinal Louis-Marie Ling Mangkhanekhoun. He has also served as Secretary General of the Episcopal Conference of Laos and Cambodia since 2019.
