Melkite Greek Catholic archeparchy of Baniyas (ancient Caesarea Philippi / Paneas), covering southeastern Lebanon with its seat at Marjayoun and Saint Peter's Cathedral (built 1892). The ancient see was restored as an eparchy on 25 February 1886 and elevated to an archeparchy on 18 November 1964; it is suffragan of the Melkite Archeparchy of Tyre.

History
Named for the city of Baniyas in the Golan Heights at the foot of Mount Hermon, the Melkite Greek Catholic Archeparchy of Baniyas (Latin: Archeparchy Caesariensis or Paneadensis) is a suffragan of the Melkite Greek Catholic Archeparchy of Tyre. It counted 2,500 baptized in 2009 and is presently led by Archeparch Georges Nicholas Haddad, SMSP.
