Its seat is the Cathedral of Our Lady of Solitude in Acapulco, and its suffragans are Chilpancingo-Chilapa, Ciudad Altamirano and Tlapa.

History

Serving Mexico's southwestern state of Guerrero, the Archdiocese of Acapulco (Latin: Archidioecesis Acapulcana) is a metropolitan archdiocese of the Latin rite. Its seat is the Catedral Nuestra Señora de la Soledad, dedicated to Our Lady of Solitude, which stands in the port and resort city of Acapulco. Archbishop Leopoldo González González currently leads the archdiocese.
