Its seat is the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Guachochi.

History
The Diocese of Tarahumara (Latin: Dioecesis Tarahumarensis) traces its beginnings to a mission sui juris erected in 1950, which was raised to a vicariate apostolic in 1958 and finally to a diocese in 1993. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Chihuahua.
