History
Erected on 9 June 1962, the Diocese of Veracruz (Latin: Dioecesis Verae Crucis) serves the Catholic Church in Mexico as a Latin Church diocese. It belongs to the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Xalapa, a see that itself began in 1844 under the name Diocese of Veracruz.
