The Diocese of Nyundo in Rwanda began as an apostolic vicariate in 1952 and was raised to a diocese in 1959. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Kigali and has been led by Bishop Anaclet Mwumvaneza since 2016.

History
With headquarters at Nyundo, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Nyundo is a jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Church in Rwanda. Pope Pius XII erected it on February 14, 1952 as the Apostolic Vicariate of Nyundo, carved from part of the Apostolic Vicariate of Ruanda, and Pope John XXIII raised it to a diocese on November 10, 1959. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Kigali, and Anaclet Mwumvaneza currently serves as its bishop.
