History
Centered on the Italian comune of Palestrina, this Latin suburbicarian diocese (Latin: Diocesis Praenestina) is presently led by Mauro Parmeggiani, whom Pope Francis appointed on 19 February 2019. Before that appointment, Parmeggiani had governed the see as Apostolic Administrator after Bishop Emeritus Domenico Sigalini resigned on 31 July 2017 due to age.
