History

Holding jurisdiction over the province of Marinduque, the Diocese of Boac (Lat: "Dioecesis Boacensis") is a Latin Catholic diocese in the Philippines. It was created a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Lipa on 2 April 1977, when it was separated from the Mother Diocese of Lucena, and its territory measures 959.2 square kilometres (370.3 sq mi) in total.
