The Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan is a Latin Church metropolitan archdiocese in central Pangasinan. Created as the Diocese of Lingayen in 1928, the see moved to Dagupan in 1954 and was elevated to a metropolitan archdiocese in 1963. It has been led by Archbishop Socrates B. Villegas since 2009, with suffragans Alaminos, Cabanatuan, San Fernando (La Union), San Jose (Nueva Ecija), and Urdaneta.

History

In the Province of Pangasinan, Philippines, the Latin Catholic Church maintains the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan. The Metropolitan Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Dagupan serves as its cathedral, while the Epiphany of Our Lord Parish Church in the neighboring municipality of Lingayen holds the rank of co-cathedral.
