History
Erected in 1974, the Diocese of Romblon (Latin: Dioecesis Rombloniesis) belongs to the Latin Church sui iuris and serves as a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Capiz in the Philippines. St. Joseph, spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is its titular patron, with the Santo Niño as secondary patron. Since its erection the diocese has undergone no jurisdictional changes.
