The Diocese of Rapid City is a Latin Rite diocese covering western South Dakota. Established in 1902 as the Diocese of Lead and renamed in 1930, it is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis and is led by Bishop Scott E. Bullock, appointed in 2024.

Western South Dakota, in the United States, is the territory of the Diocese of Rapid City (Latin: Dioecesis Rapidopolitana), a Catholic diocese suffragan to the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Its mother church is the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Rapid City, and Scott E. Bullock is the bishop.
