The Archdiocese of Trento is a Latin metropolitan archdiocese in Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy, dating to the 4th century, elevated to an archdiocese in 1929 and to a metropolitan see in 1964. It is led by Archbishop Lauro Tisi and has the Diocese of Bolzano-Brixen as suffragan.

History
Named for its Alpine Italian see city of Trento (Tr(i)ent), in the Trentino-Alto Adige region, the Archdiocese of Trento (Latin: Archidioecesis Tridentina, German Trient) is a Latin Metropolitan archdiocese of the Catholic Church in the Triveneto. The archbishop's throne stands in the Minor basilica Cattedrale di S. Vigilio Vescovo in Trento, and the diocese counts two further minor basilicas, the Basilica S. Maria Maggiore in the city of Trento and the Basilica di Ss. Sisinio, Martirio e Alessandro at Sanzeno.
