History

In the extreme southern part of Tanzania, near the border with Mozambique and surrounded by the Selous Game Reserve, lies the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tunduru-Masasi (Latin: Dioecesis Tunduruensis-Masasiensis), located in Tunduru-Masasi within the ecclesiastical province of Songea. The diocese covers an area of 22,730 square kilometers, bordered to the East by the diocese of Mtwara, to the Northeast by the diocese of Lindi, to the South by Mozambique, and to the West by the Archdiocese of Songea. It now counts 24 local priests and 19 parishes.

How to reach it

This see keeps no website of its own, so the address of its diocesan offices is published here: withholding it would protect nothing and leave a reader with nowhere to go. Where a see publishes its own site, the register sends you there instead.
