History
Tuvalu, in Polynesia, is served by the Mission sui iuris of Funafuti (Latin: Missio Sui Iuris Funafutinum), a Latin Catholic mission sui juris, that is, a pre-diocesan missionary jurisdiction. Though it depends on the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, it is exceptionally not exempt: it stands instead as a suffragan of a Metropolitan archdiocese. Since 21 March 2003 that metropolitan see has been the Archdiocese of Suva; before that date it was a different see, the Archdiocese of Samoa-Apia.

This see keeps no website of its own, so the address of its diocesan offices is published here: withholding it would protect nothing and leave a reader with nowhere to go. Where a see publishes its own site, the register sends you there instead.
