Ukrainian Greek Catholic (Byzantine rite) eparchy covering southern raions of Ternopil Oblast, erected 21 July 2000 from the Eparchy of Ternopil. It belongs to the metropolitan province of Ternopil-Zboriv; the seat is the Cathedral of Sts. Peter and Paul in Chortkiv.

History
Established on 21 July 2000, Buchach is an eparchy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Ukraine, suffragan to the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Ternopil-Zboriv. Its first eparch, Iryney Bilyk, O.S.B.M., served from 2000 to 2007; following his transfer to Rome in July 2007, Bishop Dmytro Hryhorak, O.S.B.M., became eparch on 23 July 2011.
