Latin rite diocese on the Paraguana peninsula of Falcon state, western Venezuela, with its see at Punto Fijo. Erected 12 July 1997 by Pope John Paul II from the Diocese of Coro; it is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Coro. Its cathedral is the Catedral Nuestra Senora de Coromoto.

In western Venezuela, the city of Punto Fijo hosts a Roman Catholic diocese bearing the Latin name Dioecesis Punctifixensis, a member of the ecclesiastical province of Coro.
