History
Known also as Alessandria della Paglia, this Latin diocese in Piedmont, northern Italy (Latin: Dioecesis Alexandrina Statiellorum) began as a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Milan; since 1817 it has answered instead to the Archdiocese of Vercelli.
