The Diocese of Corner Brook and Labrador serves western Newfoundland and Labrador, originating in 1870 as the Prefecture Apostolic of Western Newfoundland. It took its current name in 2007 after absorbing most of the former Diocese of Labrador, and is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of St. John's.
