Latin-rite diocese in the Sankuru region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, established as an Apostolic Prefecture on 25 May 1936 and promoted to diocese on 10 November 1959. Its seat is the Cathedrale Sainte-Marie in Tshumbe, and it is a suffragan of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Kananga.
