History
Seated in the city of Lu'an within the ecclesiastical province of Taiyuan in China, the Diocese of Lu'an/Changzhi (Latin: Lunganen(sis), Chinese: 潞安, 長治) should not be confused with Lu'an (六安) in Anhui province. In standard Mandarin the city's name is now pronounced "Luan", but the local dialect rendered it "Lu-ngan", which is why early Christian missionary accounts use that form; the American Presbyterian publication "The Chinese Recorder and Missionary Journal, Volume 3" calls it "Lu-ngan-fu".

This see keeps no website of its own, so the address of its diocesan offices is published here: withholding it would protect nothing and leave a reader with nowhere to go. Where a see publishes its own site, the register sends you there instead.
