Latin-rite diocese covering northern Tolima department, Colombia, with sees at Libano and Honda, suffragan of the Archdiocese of Ibague. It was erected on 8 July 1989 from territory at the northern end of the Archdiocese of Ibague. Its seat is the Cathedral of Nuestra Senora del Carmen in Libano, with the Co-Cathedral of Nuestra Senora del Rosario in Honda.
