The Diocese of Belley-Ars is a Latin rite diocese covering the Ain department in eastern France; the ancient see of Belley (5th century) was renamed Belley-Ars in 1988 in honor of St. John Vianney, the Cure of Ars. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Lyon. Its seat is the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Belley.

History
Erected in the 5th century, the Diocese of Belley-Ars (Latin: Dioecesis Bellicensis-Arsensis; French: Diocèse de Belley-Ars) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church in France, renamed in 1988 from the former Diocese of Belley. Its territory matches the civil department of Ain, in the Region of Rhône-Alpes, and it is a suffragan see of the Archdiocese of Lyon. The bishop's cathedra stands in Belley Cathedral.
