The Archdiocese of Bourges is a Latin rite archdiocese covering the Cher and Indre departments in central France, with origins in the 3rd century; since 2002 it is a non-metropolitan archdiocese, suffragan of the Archdiocese of Tours. Its seat is the Cathedral of St. Stephen in Bourges, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

History
The départements of Cher and Indre, in the Region of Val de Loire, make up the Archdiocese of Bourges (Latin: Archidioecesis Bituricensis; French: Archidiocèse de Bourges), a Latin Church archdiocese of the Catholic Church in France. Bourges Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Stephen (French: Étienne), stands in the city of Bourges in the department of Cher. The see keeps the title of archdiocese, but it ceased to be a metropolitan see in 2002 and is now a suffragan within the ecclesiastical province of Tours.
