The Diocese of Nottingham is a Latin rite diocese covering Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, most of Derbyshire, Rutland and Lincolnshire in England, erected in 1850 as one of the twelve dioceses created at the restoration of the hierarchy. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Westminster. Its seat is the Cathedral of St Barnabas in Nottingham.

History
A suffragan of the Metropolitan Diocese of Westminster, the Diocese of Nottingham (Latin: Dioecesis Nottinghamensis) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic church in England. Its territory of 13,074 square kilometres (5,048 mi2) takes in the counties of Nottinghamshire (now excluding the district of Bassetlaw), Leicestershire, most of Derbyshire, Rutland and Lincolnshire. The bishop's seat is the Cathedral Church of St Barnabas in Nottingham, and Patrick McKinney is the 10th bishop of the see.
