The Archdiocese of Southwark is a Latin rite metropolitan see in England, erected in 1850 at the restoration of the Catholic hierarchy. Its seat is St George's Cathedral, Southwark. Archbishop John Wilson, the eleventh Archbishop of Southwark, has led the archdiocese since his installation on 25 July 2019.

History
The ordinary of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark bears the title Archbishop of Southwark (Br [ˈsʌðɨk]) and serves as Metropolitan of the Province of Southwark. The archdiocese extends over 3,000 km2 (1,200 sq mi), taking in the London Boroughs south of the Thames, the county of Kent and the Medway Unitary Authority. The Metropolitan See rests in Southwark, where the archbishop's seat stands at St George's Cathedral. John Wilson, the eleventh and current archbishop, was appointed on 10 June 2019 and installed on 25 July 2019.
