Latin-rite diocese covering Haiti's Grand'Anse department, erected 20 April 1972 as a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince. Its seat is the Cathedral of St. Louis King of France in Jeremie. Bishop Joseph Gontrand Decoste, S.J., has led the diocese since 2009.
