It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Calcutta, with the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd in Bagdogra as its seat. The see is vacant; Bishop Vincent Aind's tenure ended in December 2023.

A suffragan Latin diocese in the ecclesiastical province of Calcutta in northeastern India, Bagdogra (Latin: Bagdogran(us)) nonetheless depends on the missionary Roman Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples. The Cathedral of the Good Shepherd in the city of Bagdogra, West Bengal, serves as its episcopal see.
