History
Erected in 1899, the Diocese of Huaraz is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church in Peru, suffragan to the Archdiocese of Trujillo. José Antonio Alarcón Gómez, O.F.M.Conv., appointed in September 2024, is its current bishop.
