History
A Latin Church pre-diocesan, non-missionary jurisdiction of the Catholic Church in the Philippines, the Territorial Prelature of Batanes (in Latin: Praelatura Territorialis Batanensis) is a suffragan within the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao on Luzon island. The territorial prelate's episcopal seat is the Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Basco, Batanes, and the current bishop-prelate is Danilo B. Ulep.
