History
The cities of Parañaque, Las Piñas, and Muntinlupa in Metro Manila, Philippines are gathered into the Diocese of Parañaque (Latin: Dioecesis Paranaquensis; Filipino: Diyosesis ng Parañaque; Spanish: Diócesis de Parañaque), a Latin Church diocese. Once part of the Archdiocese of Manila as the Ecclesiastical District of Parañaque (formerly PPLM), it was declared an independent diocese on December 7, 2002, by Pope John Paul II through the papal bull Ad Efficacius.
